Nach dem 2008 erschienenen zweiten Werk „Loyalty to Loyalty“ sowie der EP „Behave Yourself“ folgt nun mit „Mine Is Yours“ das dritte Album der amerikanischen Indie Band Cold War Kids im Januar 2011. Im Februar kommen Cold War Kids wieder zurück nach Deutschland, um Ihr aktuelles Werk live zu präsentieren. Konzerte sind bestätigt am 09.02. in Köln (Luxor), am 10.02. in Hamburg (Uebel & Gefährlich), am 11.02. in Berlin (Lido und am 12.02 in München (Backstage Halle).
Mit `Mine Is Yours´ finden die Cold War Kids zurück zu ihrem eigenwilligen Soul Punk Sound, öffnen sich aber im Gegenzug den großen Gesten des Pop. Sänger und Mastermind Nathan Willet über die Entstehung des Albums:
„I got home from tour and realized I was married. All my friends had either jumped in the deep end of a relationship or had drowned. When did things get so serious? We fought growing up but the wild nights and free-for-all caught up with us. Some people got out in time and others had permanent damage. For this record, I wrote about the joys and failures of commitment all around me.”
